QuTech scholarships are available for international MSc students in the Netherlands. QuTech provides scholarships to renowned international individuals pursuing a master’s degree in quantum. Every year, QuTech awards six full scholarships, two for each division: Qubit Research, Quantum Internet, and Quantum Computing.

A Ph.D. position in the same script is awarded to students who finish the master’s degree and achieve a grade of 9 (90%) or above on their thesis projects. The QuTech fellowship pays complete tuition and living expenses for the TU Delft MSc program over two years.

Requirements & Procedure

The scholarships are open to outstanding foreign applicants who are specifically interested in quantum and have been admitted to one of TU Delft’s master’s programs, ideally from the Faculties of Applied Sciences or the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, and Informatics.

The cumulative grade point average (GPA) must be 80 percent or greater, and applicants must have attended an internationally recognized university outside of the Netherlands.

Applicants for the QuTech fellowship must submit a motivation letter for one of three scripts: fault-tolerant quantum computing, internet and network quantum computing, or topological quantum computing. The program will follow the selected plan.

When applying for the QuTech scholarship, please provide a comprehensive CV and two recommendations along with the cover letter.

  • Admission Requirements: QuTech accepts students with a cumulative GPA of 80 percent or better.

  • IELTS – 6.5
  • TOEFL IBT – 90
  • CAE – 180

Benefits of Qutech Scholarship

The sponsorship will offer € 2,083 and € 18,750 per year to non-EU and EU students, respectively, for the full tuition fee of the applied MSc. program eta QuTech.
