The University of Roehampton offers a range of scholarships, worth between £500 and £4,000 year, to undergraduate and graduate students in areas such as academic achievement, international study, sports, and esports.

Applications for the 2024 University of Rochester Scholarships are now being accepted. January 17, 2024 is the deadline for the University of Rochester Scholarships. SeNSS (ESRC) Studentships


With pleasure, the University of Roehampton announces its participation in the South and East Network for Social Sciences (SENSS), an alliance of eight universities collaborating on doctorate training partnerships in order to provide studentships funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC).

Applications for doctoral funding that address SENSS main research issues are encouraged and welcomed by Roehampton and SENSS. Applicants can apply for SeNSS studentships through Roehampton in six assessment units, each of which is associated with a SENSS thematic panel: –

Application Process

Interested parties should send an email to senss@roehampton.ac.uk. Where they will be connected to the appropriate personnel to discuss informally about their intended research, available supervision, and SENSS eligibility. You will also talk about suitable master’s programs if you are looking for candidates for funding for master’s and PhD programs. Proposals for cooperation (with a partner organization) may be taken into consideration.

The SENSS online application system, HEIApply, is the only way for prospective or eligible existing doctoral students, as well as potential master’s plus Ph.D. students, to apply for a SENSS studentship at Roehampton. Your application will be instantly forwarded to Roehampton through HEI Apply.

Accommodation


We at the University of Roehampton are aware of the significance of home for learning. We provide a variety of accommodations in order to accommodate the various needs of our students. Student Life

On our lovely Parkland campus, you can perform sports and music, participate in one of our numerous student organizations, and take advantage of the cafés and pubs.

You can join dozens of student societies here, and if you wish to start your own, our Students’ Union can assist you. There are more than 50 in total, such as our long-running play group, the Roehampton Players, whose previous members include current West End stars, and societies dedicated to veganism, LGBTQ+ issues, esports, and other topics. You will gain confidence, explore new hobbies, and meet new people by joining a society.

Athletics and Engaging Communities


All of our students have access to a variety of sports and physical education programs at Roehampton. We provide social events and competitive sports to suit the demands of every student. There are several ways to get involved, including netball, badminton, yoga, cheerleading, and athletics. Making friends and gaining skills that will benefit your future job are two benefits of joining one of our teams or activities.

If you are a talented athlete, we can offer you full financial and mentorship support so you can pursue your degree and compete at the national or international level in your sport of choice. Students with skill in esports can apply for significant scholarships offered by Roehampton. New Women in Esports Scholarships are now part of this.

Activities


Our goal is to make physical education and sports inclusive, hospitable, and available to every kid. We collaborate with other university services and partners to provide a variety of student-led campaigns, events, and activities. Study Opportunities Abroad


The majority of our students can choose to study overseas as part of their degree program. If you decide to work with us and are enrolled in a participating program, you will be able to study at one of our affiliated international universities.

Our partner schools are located all over the world; currently, they include universities in the US states of New York and California, Australia’s cities of Melbourne and Sydney, China, South America, and continental Europe.

Studying abroad offers a plethora of advantages, such as assisting you in acquiring new employability skills, fostering independence and self-confidence, forming new friendships, and learning new languages and cultures.

There won’t be any additional tuition costs if you enroll in an exchange program, and you’ll return from your study abroad experience with credits toward your degree.

Employment and Careers


By providing services specifically designed for them, the Careers Service assists recent graduates and students. In order to give students the opportunity to interact with businesses and acquire the skills necessary for success in the field, we provide a variety of career workshops and activities. Coverage of Scholarships


The University of Roehampton Scholarships in the UK 2024 will include a care stipend of £17,285 to cover maintenance and fees in addition to a fully funded graduate studentship.

Eligibility Requirements


You must ensure that all three qualifying conditions set out by the ESRC are met to apply for the University of Roehampton Scholarships in the UK in 2024. They are:

  • Academic: For 1+3 awards (Masters and PhD), you must have earned at least a 2.1 in your bachelor’s degree; for +3 awards (PhD alone), you must have a legitimate Master’s degree recognized by the ESRC.
  • Residency: Full awards (fees plus an annual stipend) are available to students from the UK, EU, and other countries. Kindly get in touch with Sensing@Roehampton.ac.uk if you have any questions about your eligibility.

  • In addition, in order to be admitted to the Ph.D. program, you must be a master’s degree holder in the relevant field or, in certain situations, be able to provide documentation of equivalent knowledge and training obtained in a professional environment.
