Lincoln University Scholarships are fully paid opportunities for international students. These scholarships are open to both undergraduate and master’s students. Each year, up to 50 scholarships worth up to $10,000 will be offered for postgraduate and undergraduate studies.

Lincoln University is well respected, particularly for its expertise in agricultural and environmental sciences, among other fields.

Lincoln University offers a variety of scholarships designed exclusively for international students pursuing undergraduate or master’s degree courses. These scholarships are primarily awarded for academic brilliance or demonstrated academic performance. However, the selection process is not only based on academic ability; it also considers a variety of other relevant variables.

While academic ability is an important consideration for these scholarships, Lincoln University acknowledges the multidimensional nature of a student’s profile. Thus, in addition to academic achievements, the selection committee may take into account a variety of other factors.

  • Lincoln University International School Leavers Scholarship
    • The LU overseas School Leavers Scholarship (ISLS) was founded in 2020 to support academically qualified overseas students enrolled in Lincoln’s first-year bachelor’s degree program.
  • Lincoln University International Undergraduate Scholarship
    • The International Undergraduate Scholarship (IUGS) was founded in 2020 to support academically qualified international students who had not previously enrolled at Lincoln University.
  • Lincoln University Undergraduate Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship
    • The fellowship was intended to support and reward international students of exceptional academic aptitude pursuing additional studies at Lincoln University.
  • 180-credit Taught Master Merit Scholarship
    • Qualifying international students will be offered a scholarship of NZ$7,000 or NZ$10,000 to cover the cost of their studies in one of the 180-credit master’s degrees.

Benefits

The Lincoln University Scholarships will provide:

  • Lincoln University International School Leavers Scholarship
    • Up to 10 scholarships worth NZ$10,000 each are available, and applicants will receive a credit to their Lincoln University Tuition Fees account upon confirmation of enrollment in one of Lincoln University’s undergraduate bachelor programs.
  • Lincoln University International Undergraduate Scholarship
    • Up to ten scholarships worth NZ$3,000 each are available and will be paid as a credit to applicants. Lincoln University Tuition Fees account after confirmation of enrollment in one of Lincoln University’s undergraduate programs.
  • Lincoln University Undergraduate Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship
    • Scholarships of NZ$5,000 are offered and will be credited to the recipients’ Lincoln University Tuition Fees account following confirmation of enrolment.
  • 180-credit Taught Master Merit Scholarship
    • Qualifying overseas students will be offered a scholarship of NZ$7,000 or NZ$10,000 to cover the cost of their studies in one of the 180-credit taught master’s degrees.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for Lincoln University Scholarships, candidate must fulfil all of the following requirements:

  • Required Language: English.
  • Eligible Countries: All world countries.
  • Lincoln University International School Leavers Scholarship
    • Become a new programmer. Lincoln University International Students who are registered or want to register in an undergraduate bachelor’s program,
    • Be a school leaver from a New Zealand high school or an international high school.
    • Not be receiving any other scholarships, and
    • To study in New Zealand, you must meet all immigration criteria.
    • Fulfill all academic and English language requirements for admission.
  • Lincoln University International Undergraduate Scholarship
    • be an international student enrolled or intending to enroll in an undergraduate degree at Lincoln University for the academic year 2021.
    • Not be awarded any additional scholarships, and
    • Fulfill all prerequisites for immigration in order to study in New Zealand, and
    • Obtain admission by meeting all academic and English language criteria.
  • Lincoln University Undergraduate Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship
    • Meet the academic and English language requirements for admission to the program of their choice at Lincoln University;
    • Be an international student who has not previously studied in an academic program at Lincoln University;
    • Fulfill all immigration requirements to study in New Zealand; and not be the recipient of any other scholarships.
  • 180-credit Taught Master Merit Scholarship
    • To meet the requirements, students must have at least a B+ GPA in their last year of their bachelor’s degree.
