An explanation of volunteer work
The main duty of the volunteers will be to run environmental education initiatives in secondary schools in Romania. The workshops in Romania have previously involved around 1,500 students. Actually, our goal is to help students develop greater tolerance. Most of the suggested tasks ask students to recognize problems with the surroundings and try to find solutions. We start every seminar with an icebreaker to assist students in preparing for unstructured learning.
The normal schedule is Monday through Friday from 10:00 to 18:00, including a one-hour lunch break. A volunteer may be requested to work on the weekends under certain circumstances. In the unlikely event that a volunteer is required to work one weekend day, they will be guaranteed two days off per week by receiving days off the following week.
