Overview of the Lion Scholarship
Applications for the Leiden University Lion Scholarship are being accepted right now. Candidates for a master’s degree in physics can use it. The deadline for submitting your application is February 1, 2024. This award originated at the University of Leiden. We at Pure Scholarship are pleased to provide to you this wonderful chance to reside and study in the Netherlands.
Through the Leiden Institute of Physics (LION), non-Dutch nationals are eligible to apply for scholarships from the Den Adel Fund for Experimental Physics and the Lorentz Fund for Theoretical Physics. Scholarships are given to about 10% of applicants based on their academic performance.

Required documents
- To be eligible to apply, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in physics or a closely related field from a foreign research university that is on par with Dutch universities.
- The candidates meet the requirements in terms of theoretical and mathematical background as well as depth of understanding for the undergraduate courses in complex analysis, quantum physics, electrodynamics, and statistical physics in the Leiden BSc Physics program.
