For students beginning their studies in September 2024, an additional scholarship opportunity is available, highlighting UT’s commitment to academic excellence.

Requirements for Two-Year Study Programs:

  • Maintain an average grade point of 7 (out of 10) at the end of the third quarter of the first year.
  • Complete at least half of the European credits by the end of the third quarter of the first year.

Scholarship recipients can allocate monies based on their needs, including living expenditures, research initiatives, and participation in academic conferences.

With the application deadline approaching on May 1, 2024, here’s all you should know about this coveted scholarship opportunity:

Who Can Apply?

  • To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements:
    1. Be provisionally admitted to a qualified UT Master’s program starting in September 2024/2025.
    2. Have a student number.
    3. Have not completed a UT undergraduate program.
    4. Meet the requirements for getting an entry visa to the Netherlands (if applicable).
    5. Meet the general English language test requirement of Academic IELTS 6.5 (or TOEFL iBT 90) with an extra 6.0 (TOEFL iBT 20) on the speaking subscore.
    6. Not eligible for a Dutch student loan.
    7. Be among the top 5 to 10% of your class, indicating exceptional academic performance.
    8. Be a non-EU/EEA student (UTS does not accept Dutch or current UT students, and EU/EEA students are not permitted to study at UTS).

Application Deadlines and Details:

  • Round One:
    1. Application form opens: October 15, 2023, at 09:00 CET.
    2. Application form closes: February 1, 2024, at 16:00 CET.
  • Round Two:
    1. Application form opens: February 1, 2024, at 16:00 CET.
    2. Application form closes: May 1, 2024, at 16:00 CET.

How to Apply University of Twente Scholarship:

  • Apply for a Master’s program at the University of Twente.
  • Obtain a conditional admission letter.
  • To apply for the UTS, use your student number.
  • Remember that UTS is not open to Dutch or existing UT students, and EU/EEA students cannot study there.

Additional Information:

  • The UTS Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) does not offer Master’s programs.
  • UTS does not provide a pre-master’s program.
  • If you applied in round one but were denied, you will not be considered in round two.
  • You can only receive one UT scholarship.
