A MIPLC DAAD scholarship is available. MIPLC is a recipient of the DAAD postgraduate program scholarship, specifically for the intellectual property LLM programme. Students from underdeveloped countries who wish to pursue a postgraduate legal degree in Europe are eligible for the full scholarship. Outstanding graduates with exceptional academic performance and achievements are invited to apply for this award and make a difference in their communities.

The initiative is a collaboration between premier institutes in Europe and the United States, including the Max Planck Institute, Technical University of Munich, Augsburg University, and Church Washington University. The MIPLC DAAD scholarship is completely sponsored, whereas the MIPLC waiver award is partially funded.

Applicants must meet the following criteria to apply for the MIPLC DAAD scholarship:

  • In addition, applicants must be from one of the developing countries.
  • Applicants must live in their home countries; applicants who have spent more than two years outside of their home nations are ineligible.
  • They must have earned a four-year bachelor’s degree.
  • Assume the applicant’s bachelor’s degree is three years old. In that instance, they must have one year of further education to complete credit hours for a four-year bachelor’s program, or they must have professional experience.
  • They must have completed a bachelor’s degree within the last five years, but no more than six years at the time of application.
  • Applicants must have two years of professional experience.
  • Applicants must meet MIPLC’s admission criteria.
  • Applicants must be skilled in the English language.


The MIPLC DAAD scholarship will provide:

  • The program requires a full tuition charge.
  • Monthly stipend: 850 euros.
  • Health and liability insurance are provided throughout the scholarship program.
  • Cost of travel from home nation (if not covered by home country).
  • Permission to conduct research.
  • Free German language course.

How to Apply

  • Complete and sign your application form, attach the needed documents, and submit it for admission.
  • If applicants are just requesting for a fee waiver scholarship, they must complete and sign the financial aid form, as well as the accompanying documentation, before submitting their application for admission.
  • Download and read the MIPLC DAAD scholarship eligibility information from the DAAD booklet. Next, apply for admission and financial aid. Then, complete the DAAD scholarship form and apply, but before, utilize the checklist to ensure that the entire application process is followed.
  • Admission and price waiver applications are accepted from December 1 to April 30 of the following year. The deadline for MIPLC DAAD scholarship applications is October 15, and applicants must apply a year in advance.
