The St. Thomas University scholarship program is one of the reasons you can continue to be part of a community of outstanding academics and active leaders. More than half of freshman get a scholarship, and one in every eight has a renewable scholarship worth $ 9,000 to $75,000 each year.

Canada Scholarship Eligibility

Applicants must be international students who are eager to advance their education at a prestigious university.

Candidates must have outstanding academic records, established leadership abilities, and great written and verbal communication skills.

Applicants should keep in mind that the scholarship is extremely competitive and will be given based on academic merit.

Applicants must have received exceptional grades in secondary or high school, which will be reviewed separately for admission to the University of St. Thomas, Canada.


St. Thomas provides bursaries to students in financial need. Bursaries range in value from $500 to $3,000 and are sponsored through gifts from St. Thomas University teachers, staff, and friends. Bursaries are available to candidates for full-time entry to the first year of the Bachelor of Arts degree who apply based on their high school transcripts or as adult students.

Application Procedure

Scholarship applicants must submit an application form filled with supporting documents. After receiving an offer of admission from St. Thomas, you will have the option to complete a scholarship application through the online candidate portal. When applying for scholarships, you will be asked to follow the steps below and upload the following supporting documents:

After obtaining an acceptance offer from St. Thomas, fill out the scholarship application form.

Step 2: LETTER

Upload a prepared letter (one or two pages) describing why you are an excellent contender for an important grant. The following are suggestions for the areas you want to address in your letter.

  • Your motivations for seeking further education and goals for the future
  • Describe your motivation for attending at St. Thomas University and actions that showcase your leadership abilities.
  • Extracurricular, community, and voluntary activities.
  • Hobbies and outside interests
  • Any specific initiative or program in which you participated
  • Exhibited an interest in social justice concerns.
  • Please provide any additional information you believe is pertinent to this application, including financial needs.

Step 3: RESUME.

Upload a résumé that explains your activities since the beginning of high school, including jobs, honours, and awards.

Step 4: Letter of Reference

Send a reference letter from a teacher, adviser, or administrator outlining why you are an excellent candidate for the award.
