With the goal of encouraging academically gifted individuals to undertake postgraduate taught programs, the School of Geographical and Earth Sciences is pleased to introduce the PGT Excellence Awards.
These grants aim to give participants a research-focused, industry-informed, and intellectually engaging education. Candidates can thrive in their chosen fields of study with the scholarship, which also promotes academic success throughout the community.
Application Deadline: The deadline for scholarship applications is the 31st of March 2024.

Eligibility
- All of the following nations are included in the list of qualified applicants.
- Acceptable Course(s): Students enrolled in any postgraduate taught program offered by the institution are eligible to apply for the scholarship, including Computational Geoscience, Environmental Futures, Geoinformation Technology & Cartography, and Human Geography, among others.
- Acceptable Requirements: Applicants must fulfill the following requirements in order to be taken into account:
- Attain a first class honours degree (or its UK equivalent) with a minimum of 70% to demonstrate academic achievement.
- Hold a conditional or unconditional offer for an eligible Masters program.
- Have International or EU fee status.
