Applications for CAS ANSO Scholarship in China are now available.The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and 36 other academic institutions, international organizations, and scientific institutions from around the world have formed ANSO. It is a non-profit organization which seeks to enhance human lives, well-being, scientific and technological capacities on both regional and global levels.

USTC is a comprehensive institution noted for its advanced disciplines of science and technology, innovative medicine, and well-designed management and humanities programs. UCAS is an innovative institution that specializes in graduate education while also conducting scientific research. These universities provide international scholarships to PhD and Master’s students each year through a variety of degree programs.

A merit-based learning society, a vast network for research and development, and a higher education system are all features of China’s national academic organization, CAS. CAS ANSO Scholarship 2025 in China

Benefits of CAS ANSO Scholarship 2025 in China

For PhD candidates:
  • Entire cost of tuition will be covered.
  • After passing the university’s qualifying exam, a stipend of 6,000 or 7,000 CNY each
  • month for a maximum of 48 months will be provided.
  • Health insurance provided.
  • An application fee will not be charged.
  • There will be a reimbursement or allowance for international travel.
  • Subsidy for lodging.
  • There will be a one-time visa or residency permit included.
For Master’s candidates:
  • The entire cost of tuition will be covered.
  • For a maximum of 36 months, a stipend of 3,000 CNY a month will be provided.
  • There will be health insurance provided.
  • Application fee will not be charged.
  • Reimbursement or allowance for international travel.
  • Subsidy for lodging.
  • There will be a one-time visa or residency permit included.

Eligibility Criteria 

  • Chinese citizenship is not acceptable for applicants.
  • Candidates should speak Chinese or English fluently.
  • For the Master’s program, candidates must have been born after January 1, 1995.
  • For the PhD program, candidates must have been born after January 1, 1990.
  • All applicants must fulfill USTC/UCAS’s requirements for foreign admission.
  • During the scholarship time, applicants are not permitted to take on additional duties.
  • This master’s scholarship program is not open to students enrolled in master’s programs at any Chinese university.
  • This PhD fellowship program is not open to students pursuing doctoral degrees at any Chinese university.
  • All recipients must finish the appropriate courses and the standardized training in Chinese language and culture.
  • All recipients must finish their degree thesis and practical research at USTC/UCAS or CAS institutes.
  • Applicants may submit an application for a UCAS or USTC scholarship.

How to apply for Scholarship in China

  1. Register on the online application page for the CAS ANSO Scholarship.
  2. Open the online application site and create an account.
  3. Complete all the requested information.
  4. Observe the guidelines provided on the websites.
  5. Add all the necessary files.
  6. Decide whether to apply through UCAS or USTC.
  7. Use the portal to submit your application.

Documents Required for China Scholarship 

  • Photocopy of passport (should have validity of at least one year).
  • A research proposal (minimum 800 words).
  • CV
  • Two letters of recommendation from professors with their contact number and email address.
  • Form for Foreigner Physical Examination.
  • A photocopy of your HSK certificate or another document attesting to your fluency in Chinese. (For programs in Chinese)
  • If English is not the mother language, a photocopy of a valid IELTS or TOEFL score or another proof of English competence is required. (For programs in English).
  • A photocopy of the degree.
  • Provide a pre-graduation certificate with the degree completion date on it if you haven’t received your degree yet.
  • A cademic transcripts in photocopy form for both bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
  • Official records attesting to your position as a student.
  • Candidates for jobs should submit proper documentation related to their position.

CAS ANSO Scholarship Deadline
