Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for Monash University Scholarship, candidates must fulfill following requirements:
- Required Language:Â English
- English Language Test criteria for General: (6.5) overall (no band less than 6.0) in IELTS and (79+) Reading 13, Listening 12, Speaking 18, and Writing 21 in TOEFL.
- The English Language Test requirements for Arts, Business, and Economics are (7) overall (no band less than 6.5) in IELTS and (94+) Reading 19, Listening 20, Speaking 20, and Writing 24 TOEFL.
- Eligible Countries:Â All world countries

- Â New Zealand citizen.
- An Australian citizen.
- Â Permanent resident. Australian
- Australian humanitarian visa holder.
- Bachelor’s degree requiring at least four years of full-time study in a relevant field, and which normally includes a research component in the fourth year, leading to an honours 1 or 2A in a relevant field;
- Course leading to a level rated by the relevant department, faculty and committee as equivalent to an honours 1 or 2A in a relevant field;
- Master’s degree that requires work, typically incorporating a strong research component, at least 25% of one full-time equivalent year of work, and a thesis. The research thesis or project is often anticipated to receive an honours 2A grade.
- Examiners’ reports will be considered in ungraded cases, and qualifications that GRC considers equal.
- Scholarships are provided based on an applicant’s academic record, research output, and previous research experience.
- Have not held an Australian Government or Monash-funded Postgraduate Research Award for longer than six months.
