Postdoctoral research scholarships at Academiae Belgicae, Italy 2024-25

Academia Belgica offers two six-month postdoctoral research fellowships in Rome. The fellowships provide free lodging, a €750 monthly stipend, and travel expense reimbursement. Scholars from the historical sciences, literature, art history, and architectural history are given priority. Postdoctoral research scholarships.

To be eligible for the Research Grants Academiae Belgicae, applicants must have a PhD from a Flemish or French-speaking university in Belgium that was completed no more than 12 years ago. They must demonstrate outstanding academic success and submit a unique research topic that necessitates a stay in Rome.

Eligibility Criteria for the Postdoctoral  research scholarships

• Eligible Countries: Applicants must be legitimately linked with a Flemish or French-speaking university in Belgium.
• Acceptable courses or subjects: Priority is given to researchers in the historical sciences, art history, architectural history, and literature.
• Admissible Criteria:
  • • Possess a third-cycle diploma (PhD) attained no more than 12 years ago at the time of application.
    • The research stay must begin no later than May 1 of the academic year in which the application was filed.
    • Have achieved great outcomes.
    • Present a unique research proposal that justifies a stay in Rome for the specified duration.
