The NUS Amgen Scholars Program aims to inspire the next generation of innovators by providing realistic summer research experiences at world-renowned educational and research institutes. The completely financed scholarship program has been launched in the US, Europe, Japan, and Singapore. The National University of Singapore (NUS) has recently joined the list of Asia’s best universities that offer this renowned degree.
This undergraduate scholarship program aims to encourage individuals pursuing professions in biology and related subjects. This international scholars program offers 8 weeks of extensive biomedical or biotechnological study in the basic and translational sciences. Faculty from the Department of Biological Sciences and other partner departments at the National University of Singapore will share their experiences and conduct research training for the scholars.
During this scholar program for Asian students, participants will attend information sessions about Graduate Program opportunities at the National University of Singapore. Students will attend weekly conferences and seminars to meet and interact with scientific guest speakers. The program will provide access to a variety of campus amenities, including the Library, University Health Services, and the Sports Centre. This summer research program will be a wonderful learning experience, with opportunities for various social groups and vacations.

NUS Amgen Scholars Program
International participants:
- Accommodation will be provided by the National University of Singapore.
- Students will get a travel stipend of up to SGD1500 to cover airfare to Singapore from their home country and from Kyoto back home after attending the symposium.
- Students will receive a stipend of SGD6000 for 8 weeks, which will cover all of their living expenses during the summer program, including local transportation and meals.
- The National University of Singapore will fund the visa fees.
Local participants:
- During the program, local pupils will be accommodated.
- A travel stipend will be awarded to them, covering round-trip airfare to and from the Symposium.
- For eight weeks, a stipend of SGD 6000 will be provided, covering living expenses like as meals and transportation.
