Applications for the 2025 METI Government of Japan Internship, a fully funded internship program targeted at international students from OECD/DAC countries, are currently being accepted by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI). Through a six-week placement in Japanese companies, this program gives students invaluable professional experience.
The METI Government of Japan Internship is a unique opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to obtain cross-cultural business experience in one of the top economies in the world. There is no need for an application fee or IELTS. One hundred interns in all will be chosen and paired with host organizations that complement their training and abilities.

💸 Financial Assistance
The METI Program for Internships provides:

- Insurance coverage for internships

✅ Qualifications for Admission
Candidates need to:
- Belong to a nation that is a member of the OECD or DAC.
- Have fluency in English
- Be between the ages of 18 and 40 on August 25, 2025.
- Enrolled in or have just finished attending a university.
- Send in a recommendation letter along with your enrollment or graduation certificate.
- The ability to engage completely in the internship schedule
