Students from Sub-Saharan Africa can apply for the 2024-2025 Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of California Berkeley to study in the US. Applications from women, people with disabilities, and displaced or refugee groups are particularly encouraged.
The Mastercard Foundation and the Centre for African Studies have formed a ten-year agreement to support 201 academically exceptional master’s degree candidates from Sub-Saharan African countries who are committed to bringing about revolutionary change on their continent.

Eligibility Criteria

- The candidate has declared their desire and intention to return to their home country after completing their studies.
