REQUIREMENTS:

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor or Master of Engineering in Chemical Engineering with strong coding knowledge in VB.NET, C#, C++ or at least one of these programming languages.
• Lead software engineer Remote work personnel should possess over ten years of expertise developing software for the chemical engineering industry.
• When working in the fields of upstream/midstream oil and gas/LNG/gas processing, refining, petrochemicals, sustainability, and hydrocarbon engineering related fields, one should possess a thorough understanding of the principles of process engineering.
• Possess practical experience developing add-ons or software for commercial process engineering flow-sheeting programs such as Aspen Hysys, PetroSim, UniSim Design, or other comparable programs.
• Possess practical expertise using flow-sheeting software for process engineering that is sold commercially, such as Aspen Hysys, PetroSim, UniSim Design, or other comparable programs.
• Should have extensive hands-on experience with Safety System Design, Rating, and Simulation Products, including Flare, Blowdown (emergency depressurization), and Relief device sizing and rating. Should be able to work as a subject matter expert (SME) in a safety-related field.
• Should be able to help create a complete functional specification, including equations and techniques for developing new unit operations, features, and functionalities in commercially available process engineering flow-sheeting software.
• Strong understanding and experience in guiding and mentoring software developers with coding skills but are not chemical engineers.
