Chinese Government Scholarship. The Chinese government sponsors the Silk Road Scholarship Program 2025 in China to assist overseas students and students in pursuing their studies and conducting research at various Chinese colleges. Eligibility Criteria for Chinese Government Scholarship Silk Road Program

  • Bachelor’s students may apply for Major Chinese Language-Business Chinese.
  • Master’s students can apply to the Information Resource Management program.
  • Applicants for bachelor’s programs must be at least 18 years old and under the age of 25.
  • Applicants to master’s programs should not be older than 35 years.
  • Candidates must be citizens of one of the countries on the Belt and Road Initiative list.
  • Bachelor’s program applicants should have a high school diploma, while master’s program applicants should have a bachelor’s degree.
  • Candidates applying to bachelor’s programs should have HSK level 5.
  • Individuals applying to master’s programs should have IELTS 6.0/TOEFL 85 or TOEFL Essentials 9.

 

How to apply for Chinese Government Scholarship Silk Road Program

  1. Applicants must submit one scholarship application on the CSC website and another through NJU’s China International Student Service System for admission to Nanjing University.
  2. First, register and apply on the CSC website.
  3. Fill out the online application form.
  4. Enter “10284” for the agency number.
  5. Select ‘B’ for Program Type.
  6. Click the submit button to get the application form.
  7. Then Register and apply through NJU’s China International Student Service System.
  8. Select ‘CSC Scholarship’ as the program type.
  9. Upload all required papers.
  10. Submit the form and check your email for updates.

Documents required 

  • Pre-graduation certificate if degree is not yet completed.
  • Filled CSC Scholarship Application Form.
  • Academic transcripts.
  • Certificate of high school or bachelor’s diploma.
  • Two recommendation letters.
  • HSK test certificate is required for the applicants of Bachelor’s Chinese Degree.
  • Master’s program applicants must submit TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo test scores.
  • Personal Statement.
  • Bachelor’s program applicants must describe their application motivation, knowledge of China and Nanjing University, academic competency, and study plans in China.
  • Recent medical certificate.
  • List of papers published in professional or scientific publications.
  • First page of the passport.
  • Certificate of non-criminal record.
  • Parental agreement signed by guardian in China (for candidates under 18 years old till September 1st, 2025).
