Eligibility Criteria
You must meet the following requirements:
International and TR National PhD Programme Candidates:
- Graduated with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 (out of 4.00) from an undergraduate degree programme
- Graduated with a CGPA between 2.75 and 2.99 (out of 4.00) from an undergraduate degree programme with:
- ALES band 65 or higher (for Turkish nationals).
- A minimum CGPA of 3.50 (out of 4.00) from a graduate (master’s) program.
TR National Master’s Programme Candidates:
- Graduated with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 (out of 4.00) from an undergraduate degree program
- Graduated with a CGPA between 2.75 and 2.99 (out of 4.00) from an undergraduate degree programme with:
- Thesis programmes require an ALES band of 65 or higher.
- ALES score of 65 or better in any kind for non-thesis programs.
General Eligibility:
- Scholarships are only given to new students enrolling for the first time in their particular courses.
- Students who cancel their enrollment and reapply are ineligible for scholarships.
- Students with special or visiting student status are ineligible.
- Scholarship awardees are selected based on departmental ranking and assessment criteria (not just CGPA).
- Shortlisted candidates must register by the deadline; otherwise, they may be replaced on the second list.
- Students whose names appear on the second scholarship list and have compelling reasons (such as visa or transportation concerns) might request an extension.
- Scholarships will be revoked if a student reapplies for the same level of the program at EMU after already being registered.
