The POSCO TJ Park Foundation offers the 2025 POSCO Asia Fellowship Scholarship to Asian students pursuing Master’s or PhD degrees in South Korea. The POSCO Scholarship is limited to STEM fields. Only students with Asian citizenship are eligible to apply for this scholarship. There are nine top colleges in South Korea that offer POSCO fellowships. You can apply to up to three universities.
South Korea is a growing location for overseas students. There are 181,842 international students enrolled in the country. South Korea plans to attract more international students. The administration hopes to have 300,000 international students studying in South Korea by 2027. Many South Korean universities provide fully financed scholarships, notably GKS (Korean Government Scholarship), the largest scholarship programme in South Korea. Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must intend to pursue a degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
- Applicants must be Asian citizens.
- The applicant must begin a course in the spring or fall semester of 2025.
- Those with a bachelor’s degree are qualified.
- The applicant must apply to an eligible university (mentioned below).
English Language Requirements
An applicant must also meet any ONE of the following English Language requirements:
- TOEFL: 550
- IELTS: 6.0
- TOEIC: 750
- New TEPS: 327
Note: Applicants who have graduated from universities in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United States, or the United Kingdom are excused from the English Proficiency Test.

The POSCO allows applicants to select up to three universities in alphabetical order, without any ranking or preference.
